Highlights from the 15th Asia-Pacific Conference on Combustion (ASPACC)

The 15th Asia-Pacific Conference on Combustion (ASPACC 2025) was a resounding success and the largest edition in the series’ history. Held from 18–22 May at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, with pre-conference activities on 17–18 May at UTown, NUS, the event brought together over 800 delegates from around the world and received a record-breaking 700+ scientific abstract submissions.

ASPACC 2025 served as a premier platform for researchers, industry experts, and academics to exchange cutting-edge knowledge in combustion science, with strong emphasis on decarbonisation, hydrogen and ammonia fuels, and the application of AI in combustion. The conference featured a rich program of plenary and keynote lectures, technical sessions, industry-led workshops, and webinars addressing emerging challenges like battery fire safety and detonation instabilities.

Organised in collaboration with the Singapore Section of The Combustion Institute, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and A*STAR—with support from The Combustion Institute and the Singapore Tourism Board—the event also featured 10 sponsors and exhibitors.

Beyond the technical excellence, ASPACC 2025 fostered meaningful networking and collaboration through social highlights such as the Welcome Reception and Farewell Party. It was a milestone event driving global momentum toward a cleaner, low-carbon energy future.
