Highlights from the 12th European Combustion Meeting

The 12th European Combustion Meeting (ECM) was held at the University of Edinburgh from 7 – 10 April 2025. This successful meeting welcomed 631 participants from around Europe and beyond.

The program featured five plenary lectures from esteemed researchers Dr. HdR Bénédicte Cuenot (Safran, France), Dr.-Ing. habil. Benjamin Böhm (Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany), Dr. Benedetta Franzelli (Université Paris-Saclay, France), Dr. Eric Mueller (National Institute of Standards and Technology, United States), and Dr. Luca Magri (Imperial College London, United Kingdom), which spanned a range of progressive combustion topics lending to cleaner and safer environmental systems. The scientific program also featured over 550 poster presentations, providing an exciting forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge.
 

The meeting’s scientific program and social events were held throughout the iconic venues of Edinburgh, highlighted by an exclusive evening visit to Edinburgh Castle. The 13th ECM will be held in Barcelona, Spain in 2027.
