In Memoriam: Patton Manuel Allison

Prof. Patton Manuel Allison (1987-2025), a member of The Combustion Institute, passed away on 28 April 2025 after a battle with illness. Prof. Allison received both his B.S. (2008) and M.S. (2009) in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He completed his PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan in 2013. At the time of his passing, he was an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU). Prof. Allison served as a Session Chair at the 38th International Symposium on Combustion, and as a member of the Bernard Lewis Fellowship Committee. A full obituary can be found here.
