Upcoming Changes to the 41st International Symposium on Combustion
With the anticipation of an unprecedented volume of submissions and attendees, Osamu Fujita and Venkat Raman, the Technical Program Co-Chairs for the
41st International Symposium on Combustion (ISOC), have instituted a number of modifications. The most significant change to the 41st ISOC can be found in its new two-step presentation and publication process.
First, prospective authors will submit a four-page paper for consideration to present at the 41st ISOC. To maintain or improve the high quality of symposium presentations, authors will be asked to submit original work that has not been previously or concurrently considered for peer-reviewed journal publication. A colloquium team will evaluate each submission to determine the suitability for presentation at the symposium. If selected for presentation, the Technical Program Co-Chairs will determine the format of delivery, with author preference taken into consideration. All accepted authors will be required to confirm their participation to secure their slot at the conference.
Authors whose papers are accepted for presentation at the symposium will then be invited to submit full-length papers to be considered for publication in Proceedings of The Combustion Institute (PROCI). PROCI editors will execute the review and processing of these papers in accordance with the journal guidelines.
