Distinguished Paper Awards (DPAs) Announced for the 40th International Symposium - Emphasizing Energy Transition

The Combustion Institute is honored to announce the complete list of Distinguished Papers from the 40^th International Symposium – Emphasizing Energy Transition, hosted by the Italy section in Milan. These papers will be available for free download on Science Direct through the end of 2025. We appreciate the continued support of Elsevier in this effort to make these papers accessible to all our members. Distinguished Papers will now be evaluated by the Silver Combustion Medal Committee. An outstanding paper that exemplifies quality, achievement, and significance to advance a field of combustion science will be selected to receive the Silver Combustion Medal. Announcement of that honor will be made at the 41st International Symposium on Combustion in Kyoto, Japan in 2026.

Due to the broad range of research addressed and the exceptionally high quality of the presentations at this symposium, the 40th ISOC Program Co-Chairs bestowed Honorable Mention on thirteen additional papers. To access a list of those honorees, please visit this link.
