2024 Spring Technical Meeting of the Western States Section of The Combustion Institute
The Western States Section of The Combustion Institute (WSSCI) is a non-profit educational and scientific society whose purpose is to promote the science and application of combustion for the benefit of society. The 2024 Spring Technical Meeting of the Western States Section of The Combustion Institute will be held 4-5 March 2024 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Call for Papers has been released, with abstract submissions being accepted starting 14 December 2023 in the following topic areas:
- Laminar Flames
- Turbulent Flames
- Fires and Fire Safety
- Diagnostics
- Chemical Kinetics
- Biomass Combustion and Gasification
- Soot and Nanomaterials
- Stationary Combustion Systems
- Sprays, Droplets and Supercritical Combustion
- Environmental Aspects of Combustion
- Detonations, Explosions, and Supersonic Combustion
- Internal Combustion, Gas Turbines, and Rockets Engines
- Microcombustion and New Combustion Concepts
- Numerical Methods and Machine Learning Techniques Applied to Combustion
Extended abstracts should be a minimum of two pages (approximately 1000 words) and should include at least one significant figure.
